A Higher Standard of Quality
Respite Care
We offer a variety of home care options for seniors and adults with disabilities. Do not think that our services are universal. We know that everyone's needs are different, which is why our care plans are tailor-made for everyone.
Provides reimbursement vouchers to Virginia caregivers for the cost of temporary, short-term respite care provided to individuals of any age, with a documented disability or medical condition.
An assessment is completed to determine if there are service needs that can be met by Senior Connections or other community-based service providers. The assessment will include evaluation of problems that limit activities carried out in everyday life.
Senior Connections contracts with community-based service agencies to provide services such as homemaker or personal care services.
If your income is at the federal poverty level, there is no fee charged for the service. If your income is higher, you will share the cost of the service, based on a sliding fee scale and medical expenses.
CCC’s Caregiver Relief program improves caregiver mental health and well-being by giving breaks to stressed family members who care for their loved ones at home. Caregiving often leads to caregivers neglecting their own needs to provide for their loved ones. CCC trains and matches volunteers one-on-one with a family to provide a few hours rest for the caregiver and increased socialization for those receiving care
HFC® (formerly Hilarity for Charity) and the Home Instead® network are working together to award home care grants to those providing care to their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. The HFC Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Grants are awarded across the United States and Canada. The goal of the grant program is to provide exceptional home care to families affected by this disease, and to give these families support and rest. These grants are facilitated by Home Instead, where available. These grants are for respite care hours, there is no cash value.
ARCH does not provide respite care, but may be able to help you find it in your local community through your State Respite Coalition or Lifespan Respite Program or State Provider Registries or the Eldercare Locator.
