Peace in knowing you have family caregiving resources
Many new family caregivers may feel unprepared, lack knowledge, and receive little guidance from healthcare providers. Family Caregiver Training combines in-person and online training platforms to prepare family caregivers for their new role.
Family caregivers may come into the caregiving gradually or suddenly. In the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine 2016 report "Families Caring for an Aging America" we learn that: "Individuals may take on the caregiving role as they gradually recognize a care recipient's need for assistance—when an individual has difficulty balancing a checkbook, for example—or they may suddenly plunge into the caregiving role in the context of a crisis such as an unexpected life-threatening diagnosis, stroke, hip fracture, or other catastrophic event."
Rosalyn Carter famously said, "There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers. " Her point was that caregiving is a nearly universal experience.

- We are here for you. Our training platforms will provide training for:
- Basic Caregiver Skills
- Resources
- Respite Care
- Technology & Equipment
In addition to personal skills such as communication, strength, problem-solving, patience, and compassion, a caregiver needs basic skills to address ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) such as falls & safety, transfers, bathing, toileting, feeding, and nutrition.
Knowing and using resources is an essential caregiving skill. Many of the best resources may come from other caregivers.
Family caregivers need breaks to take care of themselves. Respite care is a short-term arrangement that provides temporary relief for caregivers.
Family caregivers may need several technologies to care for their loved one such as canes, walkers and wheelchairs.
